DEPOSIT

Credit card and a government issued photo ID (Driver's Licence, Passport, ID Card) or cash deposits of $50/bike with a valid government issued photo ID. A rental waiver will also need to be completed in advance or at time of rental. Higher performance bikes such as road bikes and E-Bikes are subject to credit card pre-authorizations.

 

PAYMENTS

All rentals have a 1 hour minimum. Rental time is prorated and calculated in 15 minute increments.It is NOT possible to pay for a rental in advance, as we calculate the rental time upon return of the bike(s). We accept all forms of major credit cards, Interac, and cash. 

 

RESERVATIONS

During peak summer months (May-August), we highly suggest reserving as far in advance as possible to ensure the number of bikes, sizes and styles requested are available for your party. If you walk-in store without a reservation we will do our best to fit you on an appropriate sized bike and style when you arrive.

Reservations for our E-Bikes, Road Bikes, or for groups of 10+ should be made in advance due to limited availability. Reservations can be made by contacting us at info@englishbaybikerentals.com or through our online booking system. We request that groups of 10+ call at least 24 hours in advance to confirm the booking and total number of bikes on the reservation.

HELMETS

It is the law to wear a bike helmet in Vancouver. Bike helmets and locks are included with your rental free of charge. At English Bay Bike Rentals our bike helmets are disinfected after every use.

 

RETURNS

Rental bikes must be returned by closing time unless a 24 hour or multiple day rental has been agreed upon. Rental returns are NOT possible after hours. Any rental bikes kept after hours must be returned the following morning. If you have rented a bike and would like to keep it for longer just give us a call to confirm that we have availability to extend your rental.
