WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Please bring a credit card and a government issued photo ID (Driver's Licence, Passport, ID Card). If you do not have a credit card, a cash or Interac deposit of $50/bike with a valid government issued photo ID is required to rent. 

 

All E-bikes require a $1,000 pre-authorization per bike. The pre-auth is removed when all bikes are returned. 

 

BOOKING YOUR BIKE RENTAL

English Bay Bike Rentals uses an online booking platform to manage bike rentals. To secure your preferred bike and size, it is strongly recommend that guests use this platform to book in advance. This is especially encouraged during the high season between May and October.

Returning guests with valid ID can skip the booking process.

PAYMENTS

​

All rentals have a 1 hour minimum.

 

Rental time is prorated and calculated in 15 minute increments.

 

It is NOT possible to pay for a rental in advance, as we calculate the rental time upon return of the bike(s).

The booking system will request your credit card details uprfont, but nothing is initially charged on your card when making a booking. The credit information is stored securely and can be used for payment at the completion of the rental.  

 

We accept all forms of major credit cards, Interac, and cash for final payment.

​​​​HELMETS

​

It is the law to wear a bike helmet in Vancouver. Bike helmets and locks are included with your rental, free of charge.

 

At English Bay Bike Rentals, our bike helmets are disinfected after every use.

RETURNS

​

Rental bikes must be returned by closing time unless a 24 hour or multiple day rental has been agreed upon.

 

English Bay Bike Rentals does NOT have an after-hours drop-off. Any rental bikes kept after hours must be returned the following morning.
